I am borrowing an Icom V8000 Race radio from a buddy at work for this trip. That makes at least 3 people that will have the radios. It will be a good test to see how these things work.  Cool Beans

I was thinking about joining you guys, & wonder what the trail will be like?
I planned on bring this.

But I dont wanna damage it.
This is my latest rig & I bought it so I can camp in the back of it on trips like this.

The pic's of last years action had rigs that looked sorta hardcore.
I do have the Sammy for that, but its out of commision right now.

I also plan to explore the ghost town & mines while we're there.
assuming I can make it....

The canyons are out of the question but there is a ton of old mining roads going all through the mountains. The mines are everywhere.

As long as you stay away from the canyons you will be OK. The main organized run on Saturday will be through the canyons.

Will there be anyone out there in the group exploring the area in stockers like mine?

I'd bring my Bronco, but the ARB has blown seals & I've not swapped in the Spool yet.

Besides then I'd have to sleep in a tent, & I prefer the shell of a truck.
